You see, I have this gallon sized Ziploc bag. Its contents include sticky notes, just sticky notes. Being that I love the dollar bins at Target and back-to-school sales at Office-max, Staples or even Wal-Mart the bag is completely stuffed.
I have pink ones and blue ones and polka dot ones and ones with apples that a friend gave me. I have very tiny ones (said in the Dr. Katy voice of course), I have big giant ones, tall skinny ones, wide ones, and all sizes in between.
I'm so glad I now have a place for them. I will take them in my D&B aka: Dooney - teacher bag and leave notes for the "real" teacher about how great her class was today and how I can't wait to come back. I will keep my most beautiful ones for letters to the principal to tell her how great the school was. I might even use a few for myself to jot down notes about things like: cool rules I hadn't thought of, classroom set-up that worked well, funny things kids say to substitutes and so on. I think I am so excited that I will even go buy more next week in a celebration of my new job.
I think I'll even use one of the big ones to write a note to the lady I'll call M&M that interviewed me today. She was the SINGLE NICEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET!!!! She is nicer than my mother, she is nicer than Anthony, she is nicer than anyone ever was. I wish that every person in the entire universe was as nice as her! I am absolutely, positively not kidding.
There are some people in this world that make my heart happy. Truly happy. I could list them on one hand - M&M, Jason O., Chelsie P. and two other unnamed friends. (Yes - other people make me happy, I love them, I love being around them, they are my friends and confidants) but these people make my heart fill with love and joy. Back to M&M - I wish she did the interviews and hiring for every job in the universe - she would just know where people would fit together. And I know that if she had the power, Chelsie and I would have one of those "open" classrooms. You know one where I'm on one side with my students, she is on the other side with her students and there is only one-half of a wall in between. We could co-teach and it would be great.
M&M also had on the cutest dress ever, and we talked about where we got our dresses, and how much we loved to shop. I thought she was adorable and she told me I was. Yep -that's right - me, adorable.
According to Websters I am:
a-dor-a-ble
-adjective
1. Very attractive or delightful; charming; what an adorable hat!
2. Worthy of being adored
Yep - that's right I am worthy of being adored, and I am.
We have jobs :)))))) I'm so happy! And M&M WAS the nicest woman ever!
